Croatia is a country that gives great importance to it's forests and natural spaces, as well as it's landscapes and fauna. It is for this reason that there are so many diverse natural spaces, whether they be natural parks or national parks, along Croatia and it's coastline and it's interior. The Natural Park of the Archipelago in Croatia of the Brijini Islands is well conserved and surrouned by urbanized areas and golf courses. The national park of Risnjak has a high number of lynxes. The national park of Paklenica has lion vultures, and reptiles, and last but not least is the National Park of Plitvice where you'll find bears and wolves in it's highly vegetated jungle.
There are a total of 8 national parks in Croatia, to of which, Kornati and Brijuni are insulated. The other 6 are Plitvice declared part of the UNESCO, Plitvika, Mljet, Sjeverni, Paklenica and Risnjak. All of these parks have areas to hike, go trekking, moutnain biking as well as many other activities. |
